Esse tipo de informação é dificílima de ser encontrada em algum lugar.
Procurei nos meus manuais de padronização e nada, procurei no Google e nada.
Fui encontrar alguma coisa só na gramática do Napoleão Mendes de Almeida, a qual, aliás, ainda que quanto a ela tenha lá as minhas reservas, fortemente recomendo a vocês.
Pois bem, nessa gramática do Napoleão é que fui aprender que o nome dessas “curvinhas” – “)” “(“ – é semicírculo, e, pasmem, são elas sinais de pontuação, assim como o são o ponto e a vírgula.
Denominamos de parênteses a união de dois semicírculos; um abre e outro fecha os parênteses. Informação interessantezinha, vai!
